Dentist Near Sienna

Convenient Access from Sienna

Between practices, games and school nights, Sienna parents rarely have a spare hour. Southern Smiles keeps the dentist close: our FM 521 office is about 10 minutes from the heart of the community, reached by Sienna Parkway and a short run south. Families who want a dentist near Sienna can bring teens for orthodontic checks and parents for their own care in the same trip. Dr. Phi Pham and Dr. LeAnn Truong treat every age.

From Ridge Point High School at 500 Waters Lake Blvd, follow Waters Lake Blvd to Sienna Parkway and drive east through the roundabout. At FM 521, turn right and continue south about 1.2 miles. The office is on the east side of the road at 8421 FM 521 Rd Ste F, Rosharon, TX 77583, a total drive of about 4.7 miles. See our location on Google Maps to route from your own street.

The trip follows surface roads the whole way, with no toll lanes. Our building sits a short way from the streets of Southern Colony, and Arcola, which borders Sienna to the north-east, is just up FM 521. The drive does run longer at rush hour.

Built for Busy Sienna Families

Sienna began as Sienna Plantation, and its first homes sold in 1996. Today it is a large master-planned community in Fort Bend County, with the Brazos River along its western edge and Oyster Creek flowing through its center. A big share of households include children. That means a dental office here has to handle growing mouths, braces questions and the occasional sports injury, all while respecting packed calendars.

Our schedule is designed with those calendars in mind. Tuesday and Thursday hours run until 6pm, so a visit can follow school or practice. Saturday hours from 9am to 3pm are by appointment only, and online scheduling lets parents grab a time between carpool runs. Downtown Houston sits about 27 miles north, so many commuting parents would rather see a dentist close to home than near work.

Once you arrive, the team aims to see patients within about 5 minutes of their appointment time. A beverage bar, TVs in the operatories and warm towelettes make the visit a little nicer. Treatment plans are pressure-free, so you can talk options through at home before deciding.

Teens, Braces and Sports Season in Sienna

Youth sports run deep in Sienna, from club lacrosse at the 160-acre sports complex to school teams at Ridge Point. Active kids chip and crack teeth more often than parents expect. Knowing which office to call before an injury happens saves precious time when it does. Our emergency care covers broken teeth and mouth injuries with prompt treatment.

A few habits help before the season starts. Players with braces need a mouthguard that fits over the brackets, and every athlete should keep a spare in the gear bag. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, hold it by the crown, keep it moist in milk and get to a dentist quickly. Chipped pieces are worth saving too, since they can sometimes be bonded back.

The teen years are also when many families start thinking about straighter teeth. Dr. Truong offers traditional braces as well as SureSmileยฎ clear aligners, which use detailed scans to plan each stage of movement. Aligners come out for meals and games, while braces stay put and need no daily discipline about wear time. The right choice depends on the bite, the teen and the family's routine.

Parents are not left out. Adults who missed orthodontic care as kids sometimes start aligners alongside a teenager. Others focus on whitening, bonding or veneers once the kids' schedules settle down. Plenty of parents use a child's checkup as the nudge to book their own overdue cleaning.

If another office has already proposed major work, new patients can request a Free Second Opinion* before committing. *This offer is for new patients only. A second look is especially useful for complex orthodontic or implant plans. You leave with a clear explanation either way.

What Our Patients Have To Say

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Southern Smiles from Sienna, and how do I get there?

Southern Smiles sits about 4.7 miles from Ridge Point High School, roughly 10 minutes by car. Follow Sienna Parkway east to FM 521, then head south about 1.2 miles to our office on the east side. Many families find that having a dentist near Sienna on a toll-free route makes after-school visits realistic.

What is the difference between traditional braces and clear aligners?

Braces use brackets and wires fixed to the teeth, while clear aligners are removable trays swapped in a planned sequence. Braces work around the clock without relying on the patient. Aligners are nearly invisible and come out for eating and brushing, but they only work when worn as directed. Dr. Truong offers both and can explain which suits your bite.

Can my child keep playing contact sports with braces on?

Yes, most kids keep playing with no break. The key is wearing a mouthguard designed to fit over braces, which protects both the teeth and the inside of the lips and cheeks. A hard hit can still bend a wire or loosen a bracket. If that happens, call the office so the dentist can repair it promptly.

What should I do if a braces wire starts poking my cheek?

Cover the end of the wire with a small piece of orthodontic wax to stop the rubbing. A pencil eraser can sometimes nudge a loose wire back against the teeth. Avoid cutting the wire at home. Call Southern Smiles to schedule a quick adjustment, especially if the wire has broken or the cheek is getting sore.

Does Dr. Truong also handle cosmetic work such as veneers?

Yes. Dr. Truong is an alumna of NYU's Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry and focuses on veneers and cosmetic cases. She also offers bonding, whitening and complete smile makeovers. That combination helps patients who finish orthodontic treatment and want the shape or shade of a few teeth refined afterward.
